The practice operates a repeat prescription service from the dispensary in both surgeries. You will be informed when your repeat prescriptions need renewing, please make an appointment with the nurse in good time to ensure a continuous supply of medication.

Please allow 2 working days before collection especially before Bank Holidays or before your own holiday.  

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in several ways .

DISPENSING

We offer an on site dispensing service at both surgeries for acute and repeat prescriptions for eligible patients.

Prescription charges are levied by the government and are collected by the Practice on behalf of the Government .  All charges deemed to be due from the information on the reverse side of the prescription form have to be paid over to the Government but the Partners are personally responsible for the accurate collection of these charges.  It is therefore important that prescription forms are completed and signed at the time the medication is collected. 

We regret that NO medication can be collected without the appropriate prescription charge being paid AT THE TIME OF COLLECTION.   Please remember that some items attract more than one prescription fee   The collection of dispensed medication is the responsibility of the patient.  The Wye Valley Practice DOES NOT provide a delivery service to a patient’s home address

 

If you are exempt this must be declared on the back of the prescription form. A false declaration may be picked up by the Prescription Pricing Authority and cross checked with the Department of Social Services leading to a prosecution.
